Handcrafted in Our Yorkshire Workshop & Meadery The Mead For years, our gift sets featured mead made by our good friend Pete Allanson—a 3rd generation, Great Yorkshire Show 'Reserve Champion' beekeeper & meadmaker. While Pete has officially hung up his brewing paddle to enjoy retirement, his influence (& honey) lives on at the Horns of Odin Meadery. We now handle the brewing ourselves, using 100% genuine honey sourced directly from Pete’s sustainable Yorkshire hives. Blended with delicate natural spring water drawn from beneath Cheddar Gorge, our traditional mead contains no artificial flavorings, no added sugars, and absolutely no cheap white wine bases. It is 100% real, pure mead—smooth, rich, and worthy of the Horns of Odin name. The Horn Shot Glasses Every pair of horn shot glasses in these gift sets represents authentic British craftsmanship. Made from genuine cow horn right here in our Yorkshire workshop, each shot glass is carefully sanded, polished to a rustic finish, and anchored with a rugged 10mm solid oak base. We extensively clean and line the interior of each piece using food-grade, deodorized beeswax, choosing natural wax over synthetic polyurethane to keep your drinking experience as organic as tradition demands. Because horn is a completely natural material, no two shot glasses will ever be identical in size, shape, or colour. Your pair will feature its own unique grain and character. Care Instructions (No Hot Drinks) Because we keep things authentic and use natural beeswax to line the interior, these shot glasses are not suitable for hot liquids. Production Times, Dietary Info & International Shipping Made to Order: Because our horn products are built, sealed, and beeswax-lined at the bench, please allow a production time of up to 4 weeks during busy periods before shipping. International Shipping: Due to postal restrictions, we can only ship a maximum of 2 bottles of mead per parcel outside of the UK.
