OTF1700X-HP is a customized vacuum hot-pressing furnace to processing max. 2" diameter pellet sample with selectable heating methods from 1200 to 2000 °C at Max. 50 MPa. It is an ideal tool for powder metallurgy and ceramic research. SPECIFICATIONS (We reserve the right to modify the specifications at any time before order confirmation) Vacuum Chamber The vacuum chamber is made of stainless steel with a water cooling jacket. Inner chamber size: 500 mm Dia. x 700 mm Height Hinged type of front door with a glass window. Vacuum level: 10 -5 torr via turbopump or diffusion pump Heating Furnace The heating furnace is built inside the vacuum oven with the thermal insulation layer made of fibrous alumina. The dimension of the heating chamber is dependent on the pressing die's size. The heating element is dependent on Max. working temperature and optional as the below 500ºC- 1200 ºC heated by NiCrAl coil via K type T/C ( the lowest cost ) 1200ºC - 1700ºC heated by MoSi2 rods via B type T/C ( the higher cost ) 1200ºC - 2000ºC heated by Induction coil via B or C type T/C with heating rate 10ºC/S Please let us know your working temperature range when you ask a quotation Pressure loading Electric mechanic pressing machine is built inside the vacuum chamber up to 10 metric tone Max. 10 T load will apply to the pressing die and produce 50 MPa pressure for 2" dia. Pressing Die The standard die is made of high purity graphite via HIP Graphite die is used under vacuum and inert gas atmosphere only Max. die size is 180 mm OD x 180 mm Height Max. the pressure of graphite die is 50 MPa ( for example 2"ID die at max. 10 T load For use under air or oxygen atmosphere, you shall use Alumina die, which is available upon request. Temp. Controller Precision digital temperature controller with automatic PID tuning.
