1940's Simplicity Weskit (Vest) and Skirt with Pockets pattern - Bust 30" - No. 2943
Simplicity pattern circa 1949 Skirt and Weskit: The slim skirt, cut in four sections, is joined to a waistband and finished with a slide-fastener closing in back. Soft pleats at the front waistline and a slit at the hem are featured. The waist-length weskit, styled with a double-breasted front closing, tapers to a point at the center front. Shaped revers, ending at the shoulder, band the deep U-shaped neckline. Styles 1 and 2 skirts have straight waistbands and large flapped pockets at the sides. Style 3 skirt has a shaped waistband and the pockets are omitted. Size: 12 Bust: 30" Waist: 25" Hips: 33" Pattern: Complete. Printed tissue. B (Skirt Front) has a 2” x 1” corner missing. Pieces have rust stains from poor storage. Comes with instructions that also have a tear in the corner. Envelope: Very poor vintage condition with a lot of tears, no edge together, large tears and discoloration. Comes in acid-free baggie for storage. This item comes from a SMOKE-FREE home.
