Artist: Ebrin Bagheri Material: Ostrich Egg, Acrylic Paint Artist Statement : "Untitled" This work presents a reinterpretation of the enduring symbol of the “Lion and Sun” upon the surface of an ostrich egg—a medium that itself evokes metaphorical associations with birth, origin, and the potential for renewal. The egg, as a vessel, signifies gestation and the promise of future becoming; within it, the Lion and Sun emerge as enduring emblems of identity, grandeur, and the continuity of Iran. Simultaneously, the work resonates with the spirit of uprising and collective awakening embodied in the Lion and Sun of the Iranian people. Here, art functions as a visual language—an arena in which symbol and image articulate hope, resilience, and the prospect of rebirth.
