The following Understanding Behaviors and De-Escalation is designed to educate healthcare providers (HCP) on the core principles behind recognizing behavior as communication, identifying triggers, and responding to distress with calm, respectful, person-centered support. What you will learn: Recognize behavior as communication. Identify common causes and triggers of distress. Spot early warning signs before escalation. Use calm, respectful de-escalation strategies. Document and report concerns objectively. Once completed, you will receive a certificate of completion to verify you have finished the training. Course Length: 60 minutes; CME: 1.
