Sew on a Photo with Diane Bush
A 1-Day Class Thursday, July 16th 5:30pm– 7:30pm As photography gained popularity in the mid-1800s, adding hand-stitched elements was often an extension of traditional sewing practices, with silk threads, sequins, and embroidery used to add lifelike highlights to clothing, jewelry, or floral backgrounds. Today, the practice continues to evolve as an exploration of the intersection of image and touch. For this workshop, we invited you to join acclaimed multimedia and photography artist Diane Bush to experiment with the contemporary artistic practice of stitching on photos. Participants are encouraged to bring their own photos (or cyanoprints) on paper or fabric. We will also have sample photos available for use. Light refreshments will be provided. Location Stitch Buffalo (284 Plymouth Ave, Buffalo, NY 14213) Date & Time Thursday, July 16th 5:30pm – 7:30pm
