This lock body combines an electro mechanical fail safe function with request to exit capability, a double cylinder configuration, and 12VDC operation in a Grade 1 mortise lock platform. Designed within the Sargent 8200 Series, the RX-8272-12V lock body only format is ideal when trim is supplied separately and field reversible handing helps simplify installation and inventory management. Features Sargent RX-8272-12V lock body only design allows use with compatible mortise trim supplied separately. Electro mechanical fail safe function unlocks upon loss of power for applications requiring safety-focused egress control. Double cylinder function provides keyed control from both sides of the door. Request to exit monitoring supports access control and egress signaling requirements. 12VDC operation is designed for low-voltage electrified hardware systems. Grade 1 construction meets heavy-duty commercial performance requirements. Feild reversible handing allows the lock body to be adjusted for door handing in the field. Built on the Sargent 8200 Series mortise lock platform covered by the provided cut sheet. Functional Details This electro mechanical fail safe mortise lock is intended for openings where the lock must release when power is interrupted.
