SKYLOTEC Surface Mount Rope Access Anchor The SKYLOTEC Surface Mount Rope Access Anchor is a stainless steel stationary anchor point designed for trapezoidal steel sheet profiles. It is certified according to AS/NZS 5532:2013 and is designed for use on roofs and facades. This surface mount rope access anchor serves as a single anchor point for PPE, as an anchor point for rope access, and as a substructure for rope systems. The structural integrity and suitability of the roof structure must be verified by a structural engineer, unless a competent person can clearly confirm it is appropriate for system attachment. System design, supply, configuration, installation and certification must be carried out by a SKYLOTEC-approved installer in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and current industry standards. The surface mount rope access anchor is suitable for single person use and rescue in the case of a fall incident. The number of users connected to each anchor must not exceed the specified maximum capacity. This anchor is not designed for lifting or tethering tools, machinery or any form of equipment. No components of the anchor system may be altered, removed or tampered with unless explicitly authorised by the manufacturer. Inspection and recertification of fall anchors and equipment is required at least every 12 months by a competent person in accordance with manufacturer specifications and AS/NZS 1891.4:2009 Section 9.
