The era we now know as “Art Deco” received its moniker from the Exposition International des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, held in Paris in 1925, which was largely dedicated to the jewelry arts. Emphasis was placed on the association of art and modern industry. A popular design of this period was the "Bullseye" or "Target" jewelry , with interspersed gems set in the formation of an archer's target. This piece was converted from a stickpin. The original element, the target, is set in silver and has a diamond in the center, surrounded by a circle of bright pink rubies and another ring of diamonds. We have had a simple 14 karat yellow gold shank added, so you can wear it on your hand!
