Description The CTS JB600 Turbocharger is CTS Turbo’s latest premium hybrid turbo upgrade engineered specifically for MQB platform vehicles. Designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for factory IS12, IS20, and IS38 turbochargers, the JB600 delivers an ideal balance of fast spool, impressive mid-range torque, and reliable high-performance power delivery for both street and enthusiast builds. Built around a reinforced journal bearing CHRA based on the proven IS38 design, the JB600 features upgraded thrust bearings and enlarged thrust collars to handle increased load under high boost conditions. CTS also increased the internal oil passages to improve lubrication efficiency and durability during demanding operation. Paired with a stainless steel exhaust housing and larger compressor and turbine wheels, this turbocharger was developed and tested extensively across multiple climates and elevations to ensure consistent performance worldwide. The JB600 is capable of producing up to approximately 600 crank horsepower, with supporting modifications and proper tuning. Expect around 520–530WHP on E85 fuel and approximately 430–460WHP on 93 octane pump gas. Its design prioritizes quick response and strong street performance without sacrificing top-end capability. For optimal efficiency and reliability, CTS recommends operating within a boost range of 25–28 PSI depending on fueling and engine setup. Exceeding the recommended boost range may reduce turbo efficiency and overall performance.
