🎸 Brian May Guitars BMG Special LE Natural – Upgraded Tuners – Gig Bag 🎸 A seriously cool and very distinctive Brian May Guitars BMG Special LE finished in Natural, complete with the original padded BMG gig bag. These are brilliant value instruments and capture the unmistakable look, feel and hugely versatile tones of the legendary Red Special design exceptionally well. This example is playing beautifully with a great low action and excellent tuning stability. It’s in cherished condition overall with only light signs of use and minor cosmetic blemishes from careful ownership. There is one small filled ding on the front of the guitar, believed to have been caused by the previous owner relocating the black half-moon plate lower down near the tremolo, which we’re told is quite a common mod amongst BMG owners. It’s purely cosmetic and has been filled neatly. Aside from this, the guitar presents extremely well. A really nice upgrade on this example is the fitted upgraded tuners, which feel noticeably smoother and more precise than the standard units while complementing the guitar perfectly aesthetically. Combined with the Wilkinson knife-edge tremolo system, tuning stability is excellent. Tonally these things are incredibly versatile. The trio of Tri-Sonic style pickups combined with the original Brian May switching system offers an enormous range of sounds, from glassy cleans and quirky out-of-phase tones through to thick sustaining lead sounds instantly associated with Queen and Brian’s iconic layered guitar work. The acoustic chambered mahogany body keeps the guitar lightweight and resonant, while the set-neck construction and ebony fingerboard give it a really premium feel under the fingers. The shorter 24” scale length and comfortable “D” profile neck make it a genuinely addictive guitar to play.
