Split Power Supply for Peak Sound Quality The SM1.3R adopts a split power supply design that separates power delivery between the streamer and audio sections. This eliminates harmful interference between the two halves of the device. A pair of custom-made 31W toroidal transformers offers extremely low noise and high efficiency, with an additional potting process to reduce unwanted vibrations. This linear power supply is especially critical for the analog section, providing cleaner and more stable power than switching alternatives.
