We are almost completely sold out of ShirtJacs ... we have sizes XL and 4X in Classic Brown ... and two in 4XL Black I'm not sure when we'll make more ShirtJacs. We might make ShirtJacs in April-June of 2026. We'll have some Black, Drab and Lynx Pattern FullWeight Fabric to work with, but WOW, there is a lot that I want to do and I'm not going to be able to do all of it. So, Shirtjacs might have to wait until 2027. If you definitely want a ShirtJac not in stock, please hit NOTIFY or place a SHIP ASAP order. The ShirtJac is offered only in our FullWeight Fabric. The somewhat similar CPO is a MidWeight item. The ShirtJac studio photos show the previous version of the ShirtJac and we're getting those updated. The Brown ShirtJac in the photos is the current design. The ShirtJac, like all our products, is 100% USA and 100% WeatherWool Certified Fine Wool. The ShirtJac, as the name implies, is part shirt, part jacket. Our FullWeight Fabric really makes it more of a jacket than a shirt, though. Highly weather-resistant and versatile. The front and back panels of the garment are joined by a doubled panel over the top of the shoulders for additional protection against rain and weather. The ShirtJac features: a button-down chest pocket on each side adjustable button-down cuffs handwarmer pockets on each side large, inside drop pockets on each side. The size of these pockets will vary depending on the size of the ShirtJac, but in size Medium, the drop pockets are large enough to can hold an 8.5 by 11 inch (22 x 28 cm) folder or or even notebook PC stitched onto each drop pocket is a zippered pocket measuring 5 by 8 inches (13 by 20 cm), large enough to hold a field notebook. Model in photos is wearing a size medium. He is 5'11" (178 cm) and 186 pounds (84 kg). Some people have been surprised by how large the ShirtJac is, so please take a look at the size chart before ordering. If you have a Large Anorak, for example, you may want a Medium ShirtJac. As always, it depends on how you like the fit. Next time we make the ShirtJac the sizing will be more consistent with our other garments. One other thing has surprised some. The inner "drop pockets" open into the handwarmer pockets. That is, you can put something into the drop pocket and take it out the handwarmer pocket ... or vice versa, of course. If we had separated the handwarmer pockets from the drop pockets, we would have had to add bulk to the garment, and the drop pockets would have been much narrower. Even on the XXSmall ShirtJac, the inner drop pockets are 9.5 inches (24 cm) wide, and increase with ShirtJac size. The zippered pockets sewn to the front of each drop pocket are wide, and made of our own 100% LightWeight (sometimes we call it Heritage) Fabric.
