Diestra y Siniestra
Some marks are injuries. Others become beliefs. Diestra y Siniestra explores one of humanity's oldest visual symbols: the wound carried in the hand. Inspired by the biblical stigmata associated with Jesus Christ, the garment transforms a sacred mark into a living image through holographic technology. The front graphic features two hands. At first glance, they appear identical. But as the viewer moves, light reveals a wound emerging from the palm. An image that shifts between absence and presence. Between flesh and faith. Between what is seen and what is believed. The hologram does not simply change the artwork. It activates it. The image exists only through movement, forcing the viewer to participate in its revelation. On the back, a blurred archival portrait recalls religious iconography, family photographs, and memories distorted by time. The result feels less like a garment and more like an artifact recovered from a forgotten belief system. A wound. A miracle. A question.
