Matariki: Create & Kōrero

Gather & Create Space Join us for an intimate Matariki experience designed to bring people together through creativity, storytelling, kai and connection. Hosted within the Matariki: Creative & Kōrero experience at the Hamilton Gardens Pavilion, Gather & Create is a curated ticketed session where participants are invited to slow down, create, reflect and connect in a meaningful way. Each session includes a hands-on creative workshop where you will design and make your own jewellery or wearable adornment piece using repurposed materials from NTKMADE’s creative process. Guided by themes of remembrance, renewal and connection, each piece becomes something personal to take home and carry forward. Alongside the workshop, participants will enjoy light kai and a facilitated kōrero session with guest speakers led by Te Okahrangi Ngahana-Hartley. This is more than a workshop. It is a space to gather, create and leave with something meaningful. Session Time & Date 10:00am - 3:00pm 21 June 2026 Location Hamilton Gardens Pavilion Kirikiriroa, Hamilton Limited spaces available. N.B. There could be an opportunity to create extra pieces depending on your working pace. This will be charged accordingly at a discounted rate. The price break down will be explained at the beginning of the session. We are not able to custom cut or design individual pieces in these workshops. You will be using off-cuts of different materials and designs.
