The RAM-X is a 3/4 (more like 5/8) helmet that comes with as many features and benefits as is possible for an open-face helmet. NOTE: We are offering our remaining Arai Helmets with SNELL 2020 labels at closeout pricing. Why? As of October, 2025, all new Arai helmets started coming with SNELL 2025 stickers inside, because every 5 years SNELL rolls out an update to its testing regimen. TLDR: Because Arai's designs already well exceeded the SNELL 2020 standards, no change was needed, and the net-net is that SNELL 2020 helmets are effectively exactly the same construction as SNELL 2025 models, minus the perfunctory sticker change. Reminder: we suggest replacing helmets after 5 years of regular use, and exposure to the elements (sweat, UV rays, gas fumes, etc), or within 7 years from the date of manufacture—whichever comes first. Most of these remaining SNELL 2020-labeled helmets have manufacture dates from 2023-2025. These helmets are factory-fresh, new-in-box, ready to ride, and are being offered at a steep discount while supplies last. A favorite of police forces, and riders who just can't be encumbered by a full-face helmet, the Arai RAM-X is based off the same high-end chassis of the top-model Corsair-X, which gets multiple rows of vents positioned on top of the head. The Ram-X comes standard with a Pro Shade shield fitted, giving the rider the best of both worlds with an extended clear shield for nighttime and overcast conditions, and a flip-down sun visor for cutting midday glare. It also comes with a pinlock insert, included with every helmet. We're normally big fans of full-face helmets. But if you must go open-face, this is the most protective and full-featured option on the market. It comes in 5 different shell sizes to optimize fit, and as with all Arai models each fiberglass shell is hand laid and optimized for to be as rounds as possible so as to glance-off obstacles.
