The Clarks CFR-09FS is the all-stainless member of the floating rotor family. Both the carrier and the braking band are 420 stainless steel, finished in white — so unlike an alloy-carrier rotor there is no dissimilar-metal corrosion to worry about, and the whole thing simply refuses to rust.The floating two-piece construction lets the braking band expand independently as it heats, which keeps the rotor flat and the braking predictable on long descents.
