Black Hollyhocks

16" x 20" oil on cradled wood panel with gold solid wood frame (total dimensions: 20.25 x 24.25 inches). Hand signed and dated on the back. Certificate of Authenticity included. "Growing up, my mom would show me Georgia O'Keeffe's floral paintings. Her hollyhocks were some of my favorites, but I never actually witnessed one in real life until moving out West. Now they are a special part of my every spring and summer. There's a lovely patch of hollyhocks that grow near my home in Colorado. I walk by them often and enjoy stopping to take a closer look. I especially adore when the light shines through their petals, making the once black blooms glow red and purple."
