I act because I am broken. Many Actor Artists Do. It Becomes A Release. I take the emotional trauma, a traumatic event and I use it in my work — for an emotionally fitting scene, a design, a character that is living something similar. A director I admire Roman Polanski once told me that holding on to traumatic events will give you cancer in the end, that is why we Actor Artists need to master the channeling of the traumtic events into our creative work, to stay healthy and pure in spirit. And that somehow helps me use and feel the pain — give a release — a knowledge of how deep the wound is, how much it hurt and what the effects were — which in turn, turns me into an observer, watching from the outside what was: The Traumatic Event I went through. It is a painful process facing your trauma head on, but it will give you an overview and release so you can live with it.
