The FirePro Plus Intumescent Downlight Cover is engineered to protect fire-rated and acoustic-rated ceilings when installing recessed downlights. Tested to BS476: Part 21, it offers up to 60 minutes of fire resistance, sealing the ceiling cut-out to prevent the rapid spread of fire and smoke into the room or void above. Featuring a top layer of intumescent material, the cover expands and drops down in the event of a fire, completely sealing the fitting. Its self-ventilating design allows heat to dissipate during normal operation, reducing the risk of early lamp failure and cable overheating. Lightweight and flexible, this cover can be installed from above or below the ceiling. Adjustable fixing brackets allow fitting into ceiling thicknesses of 9mm–32mm without the need for tools or maintenance.
