Pip the Caterpillar || Grade 2/3 Lesson Plan

This is a lesson plan for grade 2/3. Pip the caterpillar goes on a 4-class artistic journey in the backyard garden. He wakes up and starts his colourful day with origami, and then we use observational drawing to emphasize his food & shelter. When the landscaping company has a surprise visit, we emphasize this threat to Pip’s safety with shadow. We complete the artwork adventure by finding a solution for Pip to thrive. Each class is 80 mins.
