DREAMS OF THE SEA Hand Dyed on Feather Fingering - Splashed & Speckled Yarn

I first dyed Dreams of the Sea when I was longing to see the sea. It has beautiful jewel tones including several shades of blue and jade green. I dyed this yarn using my Splashed and Speckled method, which means each skein has the same colors but with different placement. This colorway varies from batch to batch more than most, so I recommend buying as much as you think you'll need for your project. YARN BASE I used Feather Fingering as the yarn base. Feather Fingering is made of 85% extra-fine non-superwash merino wool and 15% silk. It's a 2-ply yarn with a lot of yardage. It's great for sweaters, shawls, hats, and more. Just be aware that it should be hand-washed in cold water so it doesn't felt. On the other hand, it's great for weavers and others who want to full their cloth.
