Offered here is a vintage J.P. Sauer & Sohn Suhl side-by-side shotgun chambered in 12 gauge, featuring 12/70 (2¾") chambers. The barrel length is 20 inches. The shotgun retains traditional German sporting-gun features including double triggers, checkered walnut furniture, a ribbed barrel set, sling swivels, and extensive period engraving across the receiver and action. The barrel flats retain numerous original German proof and inspection marks, including Nitro proof markings. Serial number is visible matching on both the action and barrel assembly, while the forearm number is different, but corresponding to the final four digits of the main serial number. The barrels are marked “SPECIAL-GEWEHR LAUF-STAHL S.G.1” and retain the J.P. Sauer & Sohn/Suhl markings. The shotgun shows honest finish wear, scratches, and handling marks consistent with its age, while retaining an attractive classic appearance and considerable original character.
