Stralsundia is a magnificent seventeenth-century bird’s-eye view of the historic Hanseatic city of Stralsund, created by the renowned Swiss-German engraver and publisher Matthäus Merian. Published in 1638 as part of his celebrated Topographia Germaniae, the engraving captures the city's strategic importance on the Baltic coast during one of the most turbulent periods in European history.
