This compact mail-back container holds up to 25 pounds of common dry-cell batteries, including alkaline, lithium, lithium-ion, nickel-cadmium, nickel-metal hydride, zinc-carbon, silver, and TPMS batteries. Once filled, seal the container and return it using the included prepaid UPS label—the purchase covers the container, transportation, recycling charges, tracking tools, and access to a Certificate of Recycling. Sustainability: This turnkey recycling program keeps used batteries out of ordinary trash and directs them to specialized processing. Returned batteries are inspected, sorted, sized, and processed to recover metals and metal oxides, including nickel, iron, chromium, manganese, and zinc oxide. Keep the lid closed between deposits and protect the liner, return label, and instructions from damage. Do not alter the UN-certified container or exceed its 25-pound limit. Contact TerraCycle before adding leaking, swollen, damaged, recalled, or otherwise unsafe batteries. End of Life: Do not empty the collected batteries into household trash or curbside recycling. Seal and return the complete container according to the supplied instructions. At the processing facility, conforming batteries are inspected, sorted, sized, and processed to recover usable metals and metal oxides.
