Men’s Linen Traditional Linen Shirt Vyshyvanka with Hand Embroidery “Free Steppes" Motif

Number of hours required to complete the embroidery: 90 hours Men’s long-sleeved shirt. It features a stand-up collar and a front slit with a button fastening. The collar, front panel, and cuffs are decorated with hand embroidery. Part of “Carpathian Beasts” is a collection developed by Koza Dereza -artisanal embroidery traditional workshop. It was inspired by traditional Verkhovyna shirts, where paired images of animals were embroidered on the chest panels to protect the wearer and reflect his identity. The fabric is as close as possible in quality to homespun linen, on which shirts were embroidered in the first half of the 20th century. The voluminous embroidery is handcrafted with wool threads. The pattern was designed by the embroiderers of artisanal workshop based on antique shirts.
