Ladder Lock System

Our Ladder Lock System consists of a lock, which is mounted to a securely fixed wall bracket, a key chain which attaches to the step ladder or ladder and an access token. The access token is slotted and is dedicated to the lock so an ordinary supermarket trolley token or pound coin will not fit. To gain access to the step ladder or ladder, place the token in the lock which will release the keychain, the step/ladder can now be used. The token is retained in the lock and is only retrievable once the keychain is pushed back into the lock, so once the user has finished using the steps/ladders, the only way to get their own token back is to place the keychain back into the correct lock. If the tokens are etched or stamped with numbers or initials, then as the token is retained in the lock, you can identify who has taken the step until it has been returned, unlike a standard padlock and chain where you have no traceability. If the tokens are only issued to authorised people who have been trained in safe use of steps and ladders this stops unauthorised people using equipment they are not trained to use and potentially reducing the risk of accidents and injuries. Other benefits of using this system have been proven to reduce time looking for equipment, therefore reducing downtime and also reducing the amount of damage and theft due to the steps/ladders being secure. The keychain is supplied with a 750mm long chain as standard but this can be cut off and replaced with thin steel cable. Please see our video for a demonstration on how the system works.
