The Oakley is David Seyfried’s take on the low, scroll-armed English armchair — compact enough for a bedroom or study, comfortable enough to be the most argued-over seat in the drawing room. Upholstered here in a mocha chenille with a soft, brushed handle, on turned legs with brass castors. Handmade in England on a beech hardwood frame with duck-feather-filled cushions, by a firm that has been making chairs this way for more than forty years.
