Dahlia 'Lee's Tilda’
Height: 48” Lee’s Tilda Dahlia Dahlia Lee’s Tilda, introduced in 2026 by Lee Hemings Carlton, is a big, fluffy dream in creamy peach, soft apricot, and warm blush tones. The fully double, 4+ inch blooms have incredible depth and presence, with layer upon layer of petals creating that full, almost pillowy look that immediately stands out in the garden and absolutely steals the show in bouquets. The easiest way we can describe her? Think Lee’s Chloe coloring with Lee’s Sugaree fluff and presence. If you love those warm, hard-to-describe blender shades, Lee’s Tilda fits right in. The creamy peach and apricot coloring shifts subtly from bloom to bloom, making it incredibly easy to pair with blush, peach, caramel, cream, bronze, pink, and other warm-toned flowers. And Tilda isn't just pretty. She handled our Southern heat remarkably well, continuing to produce those big, fluffy blooms through the kind July and August - conditions that can make some dahlias seriously give up. Plants reach approximately 5 feet tall, producing fully double blooms around 4 inches across on strong stems beautifully suited for cutting. With a combination of soft coloring, impressive flower form, bouquet presence, and heat tolerance, Lee’s Tilda Dahlia quickly earned a spot among our favorite warm-toned cutting varieties.
