Wall relief Asclepius, Greek god of medicine, Alabaster plaster
Asclepius was the Greek god of medicine, recognizable by his staff with one serpent (as opposed to the two-serpent caduceus of Hermes). This wall relief is based on the Telemachos monument from the Asclepieion of Athens (ca. 400 BC), now on display in the Acropolis Museum. The light, antique-looking patina was cast in a German factory. Please note: the colored image in the product photo is a possible drainage reconstruction, not the actual one colour of the relief provided.
