BIOKIL AquaDry ExtremeForce Masonry Water Repellent – 25L
BIOKIL AquaDry ExtremeForce Masonry Water Repellent Extreme-Performance Protection for Exposed External Masonry BIOKIL AquaDry ExtremeForce is a premium, solvent-borne masonry water repellent engineered to provide exceptional protection against driving rain and penetrating damp in severely exposed environments. Its advanced hydrophobic technology lines the micro-capillaries within mineral substrates, aggressively repelling rainwater while allowing water vapour to escape. Designed for professional remedial and building-restoration applications, ExtremeForce penetrates the masonry and cures to create an invisible, breathable barrier. It significantly reduces capillary water absorption without creating a surface sheen or darkening the natural appearance of brick and stone. Key Features & Benefits Extreme hydrophobic performance for severely exposed masonry Protects against driving rain and penetrating damp Produces exceptional water-beading performance Penetrates and lines the substrate's micro-capillaries Remains fully breathable and allows water vapour to escape Dries completely clear with an invisible matt finish Does not darken suitable brickwork or natural stone Significantly reduces capillary water absorption Helps suppress moss, algae and mould by keeping masonry drier Helps reduce moisture-related efflorescence and salt staining Drier walls may help reduce internal cold spots and condensation Helps reduce evaporative heat loss caused by saturated masonry Suitable for professional remedial and restoration work Ready to use and normally requires only one coat Suitable for application by brush or low-pressure spray Suitable Surfaces Facing and common brickwork Sandstone and limestone Granite, slate and basalt Concrete Cementitious mortars Lime-based mortars Ashlar stonework Typical Applications External masonry walls Exposed building elevations Chimneys and parapet walls Buttresses and supporting structures Coping stones Steeply raked stonework Remedial penetrating-damp protection Building-restoration projects Surface Preparation All receiving surfaces must be sound, completely dry and free from dust, dirt, moss, algae, salts and other contamination. Remove organic growth mechanically and clean the masonry using an appropriate masonry cleaner where required. Inspect the masonry and pointing before application. Cracked or defective mortar joints must be repaired and allowed to dry thoroughly. Always complete a small test area before treating the entire surface to confirm compatibility, absorption and the final appearance. The substrate must have remained completely dry for at least 24 hours before AquaDry ExtremeForce is applied. Application Confirm that the prepared masonry is clean, sound and completely dry. Check that no rain is expected during application or for at least 24 hours afterwards. Apply the product by brush or low-pressure spray. Begin at the top of the wall and work downwards to catch and distribute runs. Apply one generous coat to refusal, allowing the product to penetrate the substrate. Spread or brush out runs to achieve even coverage. Allow the treatment to cure fully before assessing whether another coat is required. A second coat should only be applied if the surface remains absorbent after the first coat has cured. Do not apply unnecessary additional coats, as cured AquaDry ExtremeForce will not bond to itself. Protect windows, glass, metalwork and other adjacent surfaces from splashes and overspray. Prevent vapour from entering occupied interiors and ensure good ventilation throughout application and curing. A residual odour may remain for approximately 24–72 hours. Coverage Approximate coverage is 4–6 m² per litre per coat. Actual consumption will depend on the porosity, texture and condition of the receiving masonry. Pack Size Approximate Coverage Per Coat 25 litres 100–150 m² Technical Information Property Specification Product type Solvent-borne penetrating masonry water repellent Appearance Clear liquid Cured finish Invisible matt finish Coverage Approximately 4–6 m² per litre per coat Recommended application One coat applied to refusal Application methods Brush or low-pressure spray Initial curing time Approximately 3–4 hours at 20°C Recoat time Approximately 3–4 hours at 20°C Full curing time Approximately 24 hours at 20°C Application temperature 6°C to 35°C Surface requirement Completely dry Required dry period before application At least 24 hours Required rain-free period after application At least 24 hours Pack size 25 litres Shelf life 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored correctly Maximum storage temperature 40°C Important Application Conditions Apply only to completely dry surfaces Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours Do not apply outside the recommended temperature range Do not apply unnecessary additional coats Always test a small, inconspicuous area before full application Protect adjacent surfaces from splashes and overspray Ensure vapour cannot enter occupied internal areas Storage and Safety AquaDry ExtremeForce is flammable. Store it in its original sealed container in a cool, well-ventilated location away from heat, sparks and other sources of ignition. Do not store the product above 40°C. Wear suitable gloves, protective clothing and eye protection during application. Appropriate respiratory protection must be worn when spraying. Ensure good ventilation during application and curing, and keep children and pets away from treated areas until the product has fully cured. Prevent runoff from entering drains, waterways or planted areas. Always read the current product label, technical data sheet and safety data sheet before use.
