Waiting for each book in the series was almost unbearable as a kid. As a coming-of-age fantasy, Eragon growing from a kid who didn't know who he was or what he was capable of to becoming a strong, empathetic leader was such a great story. Besides, who didn't want a giant, blue, fire-breathing dragon as a pet?? Brisingr is from an ancient language that all living things used to speak.
