Luger Pistol Table Lighter

BANG BANG! A striking novelty table lighter cast in the form of a Luger P08 pistol, with a textured, checkered grip. The lighter mechanism — a flip-top striker with adjustable fuel valve — is integrated into the top of the "receiver," while the elongated barrel serves as a decorative flourish, giving the piece real presence on a desk, bar cart, or display shelf. A small ring at the base of the grip allowed the lighter to be hung or displayed upright. Marked "Japan" on the lighter mechanism, consistent with the mid-century wave of novelty tobacciana produced for the Western market. The silhouette is a faithful, if playful, homage to the German Luger sidearm — a popular form for smoking accessories and collectibles of the era. Good condition and a perfectly functional lighter.
