Where most gliders require aggressive rod action to be displaced, the Sweeper responds to moderate jerks by swinging widely from side to side and performing 180° turns. These tight turns create successive flashes along the lure’s flanks, mimicking a panicked baitfish. The subtle body vibration during direction changes is a key behavioral feature: a slight oscillation of the body on each turn that further enhances the impression of a distressed fish. This action is especially effective on pike that have refused more aggressive presentations and tend to respond better to a slow, unbalanced lure. Stabilizing fins and sinking version: controlling depth The fins positioned at the rear of the Sweeper serve two complementary purposes. In flight, they stabilize the lure and improve its aerodynamics, resulting in longer and more accurate casts.
