Black on black, so the room only appears when you're close enough. The card table from the hotel is embroidered across the back in fine line - the players, the dealt hand, cards falling to the floor, while À l'Hôtel de Blake's is worked over it in chain stitch, the looped script standing well clear of the ground. Foam-filled embroidery lifts the lettering above; the rest is stitched flat, so the whole scene reads in three depths rather than one. The script returns at the chest, at the crown of the hood, and again at the cuff. Cut from heavyweight organic cotton in the house diagonal weave, dense enough to hold the stitch without distortion. Oversized body, dropped shoulder, kangaroo pocket, ribbed cuffs and hem. Chain stitch, foam-filled and flat embroidery. Made in Portugal.
