Our painting workshops are relaxed, informal and designed to be enjoyed. Each one stands on its own, or you can return and build your own collection over time. No experience needed. A half day in our barn overlooking the Silent Pool, on the Pilgrims Way in the Surrey Hills, near Guildford. Arrival from 9:45am, workshop 10:00am to 12:30pm. Your Morning Arrive at 9:45 (or 10:00) and settle in with chai and samosas on arrival. Nathalie will introduce the session and guide you through what you'll be creating. The workshop runs from 10:00 to 12:30, at an easy, unhurried pace. You'll leave with a finished piece, ready to take home. Your Artist Led by Nathalie, Artist in Residence at Mandira's Kitchen. Trained in Paris, she is an award-winning artist whose work has been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery. A portrait and mural artist, she has been running workshops for over five years, guiding people gently so that everyone leaves with something they're proud of. Choose Your Workshop Series One: Brass & Still Life (Acrylic on Canvas) Brass Teapot. A warm, light-filled still life centred around a brass teapot. Soft reflections, gentle highlights, and that familiar Mandira's Kitchen glow. Medium: acrylic on canvas. Take home: finished canvas, ready to hang. Brass Tiffin Carrier. A beautiful follow-on piece. Clean, structured and quietly striking. Medium: acrylic on canvas. Take home: finished canvas, ready to hang. Series Two: Seasons in the Surrey Hills (Watercolour) Sherbourne Pond, Light. An ancient Surrey Hills pond along the Pilgrims' Way, known for its stillness and quiet presence. Said to be one of the most haunted stretches of water in the country. Medium: watercolour on paper. Take home: mounted artwork, ready to frame. Sherbourne Pond, Shadow. The same place, seen differently. Deeper tones, more atmosphere. Medium: watercolour on paper. Take home: mounted artwork, ready to frame. Each workshop stands on its own. But together, they form a beautiful collection. Make a Day of It (Optional) Stay on for a simple lunch, £15 per person Or book our Indian-inspired afternoon tea, with a complimentary Prosecco upgrade You can also take a walk, stretch your legs, and make the most of your time here. Let us know when you book and we'll hold your table. The Setting All sessions are weather dependent. We may run the workshop outside on a good day, or inside if needed. For the Sherbourne Pond and Silent Pool sessions, you may wish to stay on, take a walk, and then return for lunch or afternoon tea. Seating An intimate session inside the barn at Silent Pool. Booking & Cancellations Minimum 4 guests required. Limited spaces. Bookings are confirmed on payment. Cancellations made at least 5 days before the workshop can be transferred to another date. Workshops are non-refundable within 5 days, though we will try to fill your place from the waiting list. If we cancel the session, a full refund will be issued. Dietary Requirements Chai and samosas are served on arrival. Please tell us about any allergies when booking. What will I paint? Choose from Brass Teapot or Brass Tiffin Carrier in acrylic, or Sherbourne Pond, Light or Shadow in watercolour. You take your finished piece home. Can I buy it as a gift? Yes. The workshop is available as an experience voucher for one or two places. Is there a minimum number of guests? Yes, a minimum of 4 guests is required for a session to run.
