Toyo Steel T-190 Tool Case This is the little one. 203mm end to end, 400 grams, low enough in profile to slide into a bag without announcing itself, and pressed from a single sheet of steel like everything Toyo has made since they invented the seamless toolbox back in 1969. Rounded edges mean it doesn't catch on anything or bite your hand when you pick it up. The lid runs on a sprung clip that holds shut properly, so nothing spills if the case ends up sideways in a pack. Ours have held carving tools, sewing kits, watercolour palettes, pencil rolls, and at one point a small collection of fishing tackle. It doesn't much care what goes in it. Studio, shed, glovebox, campsite. It stacks neatly with its bigger siblings if you want a matching set, or works perfectly well as the only one you own. Small, tough, and finished well enough that you won't want to hide it in a cupboard.
