Budo Goromo Koi 23cm Nisai – Oofuchi (EK7154) | Japanese Koi UK

Budo Goromo Koi – 23cm Nisai from Oofuchi Meet EK7154, a distinctive 23cm Nisai Budo Goromo bred by Oofuchi Koi Farm in Japan, available for £115. Budo Goromo are a fascinating Japanese koi variety, admired for their unusual grape-like patterning. The name "Budo" means grape in Japanese, reflecting the deep purple-red and dark reticulated appearance that can develop within the red markings. This individual displays a dramatic arrangement of deep burgundy and almost black markings against a contrasting pale body. A substantial area of darker colour extends across the head and shoulders, while additional patterned sections along the back create an interesting balance of colour and open space. At 23cm and Nisai, EK7154 offers plenty of character for koi keepers who appreciate the more unusual Japanese varieties. Its pattern definition, pigmentation and overall appearance may continue to develop as the koi matures.
