SurgiWorld – 45° Steiglitz Post and Point Removal Forceps
Clinical UseThe 45 degree Steiglitz Post and Point Removal Forceps are a retrieval instrument for endodontists and general dentists dealing with obstructed root canals. They are used to remove silver points, broken posts and separated files.Design and HandlingThe offset angle balances visibility and access. At 45 degrees you can see the end of the instrument and the object, while still reaching into the canal opening. It is a good choice for anterior and premolar teeth, and for situations where a straight instrument blocks the view.Retrieval TechniqueRetrieving a silver point, post or separated file is done under magnification with good light. Create access to the exposed end, take hold of it with the beaks, and apply gentle, steady pressure along the line of the canal. A twisting or rocking movement will often loosen a point that a straight pull does not.Take your time. Forcing the retrieval can fracture the root or push the object deeper. Rinse and clean the beaks after each case so debris is not left between the serrations.Retrieval forceps are fine instruments, so avoid using them to pry, and check that the beaks still meet cleanly before each case.Material and SterilizationMade from medical grade stainless steel. Autoclavable for repeated sterilization cycles. Clean and dry the instrument after each use, and check the working ends for wear or damage before it goes into the pouch.Product Features 45 degree offset angle Steiglitz pattern forceps For silver points, broken posts and separated files Balances visibility and access For obstructed root canals Medical grade stainless steel, autoclavable
