Jean-Claude Legagneur 60"x 70" Pool Players 1992 Acrylic on Canvas Unframed Painting #1TP

Haitian painter Jean-Claude Legagneur (b. 1947) turns a smoky billiard hall into a study of concentration and quiet tension. Three young men gather around a green felt table beneath a low hanging lamp. One leans into his shot, another watches with a cigarette at his lips, and a third waits his turn in a green hat. Bottles, a wall clock, and a potted plant fill the muted rose and olive interior, while the lamp’s glow cuts a pale wedge through the room. The layered setting and restrained palette make it a strong example of his figurative Haitian painting. Signed and dated 92 at lower right, the painting has Florida provenance and ships directly to the buyer from Florida. Condition is good, consistent with its age, and a certificate of authenticity is included. Jean-Claude Legagneur (b. 1947) is a Haitian figurative painter born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
