The Ileach Islay Single Malt

The Ileach Islay Single Malt If you know The Cooper’s Choice, you’ll know the independent bottling house behind it: The Vintage Malt Whisky Company. The Ileach is another part of its portfolio, offering a different kind of whisky experience: a peated Islay single malt from a distillery the company keeps undisclosed. The name means “a person from Islay”, and the whisky is bottled in the spirit of the island’s smoky, maritime character. Expect peat smoke alongside malt, with coastal and herbal notes in the mix. The Ileach has also built a strong following in Sweden, where it has been reported as one of the country’s best-selling single malts. Bottled at 40% ABV, it’s an approachable pour for anyone who enjoys Islay whisky, or a useful introduction for someone curious about peat.
