Moghadam's Marbled Garlic

Mid-late season, Marbled Purple Stripe type. The origins of this garlic are largely unknown. What we do know is that it was stewarded in the Roaring Fork River Valley of Colorado from the early 1990’s. Moghadam's Marbled is a hardneck variety averaging 6-10 large, single cloves and extended storage life. It carries a robust, full-bodied flavor that's consistent across different cooking methods. Now produced in the Salmon River Valley of Washington State, this particular selection is named after the Moghadam family, who continue to keep this particular lineage of purple stripe garlic alive with production passing from Father to Son in 2017.
