The Mares Magellan HD BCD is a back-buoyancy scuba BCD designed to deliver excellent underwater support, comfort, and versatility. With a lift capacity of 180 N, it provides stable buoyancy control while maintaining a streamlined profile, making it suitable for both recreational and advanced divers. Back Buoyancy with 180 N Lift The efficient back-inflate design offers 180 N (18.5 kg / 41 lb) of lift, providing optimal buoyancy and trim control underwater. X-tra Comfort Cushioning Extra padding on the backplate combined with an ergonomic shoulder construction enhances comfort, especially during longer dives or surface intervals. Customisable Weight System Equipped with Mares’ standard weight pocket system featuring two removable weight pockets, allowing divers to fine-tune weight distribution easily. Integrated Trim Weight Pockets Removable trim weight pockets are integrated into the design, helping improve balance and overall diving posture. Practical Pocket & Accessory Features The left pocket includes knife grommets, while elastic bands on the right side securely hold an octopus regulator. A dedicated sleeve is provided for the optional Mares Titanium Line Cutter (sold separately). Convenient Storage Options A roll-down, zippered pocket on the right side offers accessible storage for accessories and small essentials. Stainless Steel D-Rings Five stainless steel D-rings are strategically positioned for secure attachment of dive accessories.
