Trediberri Barbera d'Alba 2025
Elegant, fruit-driven Barbera from the Langhe — crushed flowers, vibrant red fruit, blood orange, and soft tannins. Precise, polished, and punching well above its category. Barbera • Langhe / Roero • Concrete fermentation and ageing Trediberri — the three from Berri — started in 2010 when Federico Oberto, his son Nicola, and a Milanese banker friend took the plunge together. Federico had spent 35 years as winemaker at Ratti, watching Barolo transform from a forgotten backwater into one of the world's most celebrated wine regions. The family had owned 1.3 hectares of the top Rocche dell'Annunziata vineyard since the 1950s — Ratti only got access because Mama Oberto insisted they hire Federico first. Now, with Nicola and his partner Stefania Drocco driving things forward, Trediberri has become one of La Morra's most exciting producers in under a decade. The 2025 Barbera comes from Rocche dell'Annunziata and 10% Roero on clay, sand, and marl soils — fermented and aged in concrete for purity and precision. Antonio Galloni called it "classy" and gave it 93 points. Hard to argue.
