Original Antique Victorian 18ct Yellow Gold Fob Chain with T-Bar & Tassel c.1870’s

A superb example of Victorian goldwork, this exceptional antique fob chain dates to circa 1870 and features an elaborate double-strand design, beautifully crafted in solid 18ct yellow gold. Two rows of substantial belcher links are joined by richly engraved end pieces, showcasing the decorative craftsmanship of the Victorian period. A traditional T-bar provides a classic finishing detail, while an elegant 7cm lariat suspends a beautifully articulated gold tassel, lending movement and character to the design. Each solid belcher link chain measures 3.5mm wide, giving the piece a wonderfully substantial feel while retaining the refinement of its original construction. The chain measures 36cm in length, having been extended with additional O-rings, and weighs an impressive 28.86 grams. Presented in excellent antique condition, this is a particularly fine and unusual example of Victorian jewellery, distinguished by its generous gold weight, intricate engraved details and fabulous tassel design.
