Understory

A rectangular pool sits deep in Tuscan woodland at Borgo Pignano, its sandstone terrace carved out of the hillside and almost swallowed by oak canopy. Two white parasols and a pair of loungers are the only signs of occupation — everything else is leaf.Shot from above and slightly behind the tree line, so the foliage crowds the bottom third of the frame and the viewer looks through it rather than over it. The turquoise water reads as a geometric cut in an otherwise unbroken field of green.Fine art giclée print on premium archival paper.
