Credits: Yes Description: Having surpassed 55 years since their formation, Yes continues to reign as a top band in the progressive rock scene, despite having weathered numerous twists and turns—including breakups, reunions, hiatuses, and lineup changes. This CD release features rare live recordings from the 1990s, drawn from the band’s television and radio programs! In 1988, following John Anderson’s departure, Yes split into two groups: 90125 Yes and Anderson, Bulford, Wakeman, Howe (ABWH). However, in 1990, through John Anderson’s mediation, the two bands reunited, giving rise to an eight-member lineup of Yes. In 1991, they released the album *Union* and launched the *Around the World in 80 Dates* world tour, inspired by Jules Verne’s *Around the World in 80 Days*. The concert on August 8 in Mountain View, California—the final show of the 79-date tour—was recorded and broadcast as a special television and radio program. This album is a live recording based on that broadcast, and the set list captures the entire concert, including solo performances and encores. Featuring a mix of classic hits and songs from both the 90125-era Yes and ABWH, this live performance can be seen as a definitive celebration of Yes’s 30th anniversary at the time of recording. Given that Tony Kaye, Bill Bruford, and Trevor Rabin left the band after this tour, this is a valuable archival recording.
