Baba Amin & Screen Time | Palestinian Father Art Mug Gift

You're trying to cut down your screen time. Baba Amin is trying to get some. Meet Baba Amin Sumud, father to Salam and Saeed. He's 38, he lives in Gaza, and his name means safe, the one who protects. Every day, his screen time looks like this: ☐ find a charging point ☐ save the last 3% ☐ listen for news ☐ find one bar of signal ☐ tell them you're okay Some days that means standing on a pile of broken concrete with Saeed on his shoulders, holding a phone as high as a five-year-old can reach. Saeed thinks it's a game. Basha the cat supervises from the rubble, unimpressed. Somewhere far away, a message arrives: we're okay. For today, that's enough. The Sumud Family Collection Baba Amin is the third of six. Each mug follows one member of the Sumud family through a daily routine you'd recognise, lived the way Gaza lives it. Every family member is named for something they don't have: peace, happiness, hope, safety, life. Their family name, Sumud (صمود), means steadfastness. Everything they're named for was taken. Except their name. The design The mug is hand-illustrated in soft colored pencil and wraps all the way around.
