Little Farm Winery Pied de Cuve Riesling 2022

750 mL | Alcohol/Vol: 11.5% Organic estate fruit from the Mulberry Tree Vineyard in Cawston, Similkameen Valley. Foot-trodden and lightly pressed, fermented naturally in neutral barrels with wild yeast off the skins, then about ten months on the lees. Unfined, unfiltered, low sulfur. Chalk, ripe apple, honey, white peach, pear, pomelo and lemon on the nose, with savoury lees notes underneath. The palate is stony and mineral — baked apple, poached pear, apple skin, pineapple, honey, peach and grapefruit zest — with excellent length. Powerful and intense but balanced, with a touch of residual sweetness carrying the acidity. Works with spicy food, pork, smoked fish, and hard cheeses.
