Welsh Poppy
A pretty perennial which produces open lemon-yellow or orange flowers from late spring to early autumn, attracting bees and other nectar-loving insects. It is native to some areas of England and Wales but is more usually found as a garden escape. The plants grow to 30-45cm tall and do best in moist but well-drained soil partial shade. They are ideal for brightening up dark areas of the garden. Seed can be a bit tricky to germinate at first, but established plants self-seed readily. Parent seed collected from around the historic Rhydyfelin Chapel in Montgomeryshire Approx. 1,000 seeds. Botanical name: Papaver cambricum
